It can not be Wednesday night already!! I am so sorry that I am just now posting for the week. Between consignment sales and getting ready for Hannah's birthday it has been crazy around the Gauthier house. I have actually had so much on me lately that I have not slept well all week. I just lay there thinking of all the things I need to be doing. I even broke down the other night (night 3 of not sleeping) and took an all natural sleep aid. Of course, it didn't help. So, if you don't mind could please say a quick prayer that I will get some sleep soon before I lose my Christianity. lol
Last week actually went really well. By taking the time to listen to others it really made me realize that I am a horrible listener. I hear others but I don't "hear" them. Do you have those friends that can always give the perfect gift? Or that friend that surprises you by making your favorite dessert when they have you over for dinner. The friend that always remembers everyones birthday. It is because that friend is a good listener. I have a sweet friend that is a "good listener". She can tell me things that I have said that I don't even remember saying. I swear, sometimes I think she knows me better than I know myself. I want to be more like her. I want to give awesome gifts, fix all of my friends their favorite desserts, and remember everyones birthday. I want to be a "good listener". I think I can do it if I can shut my mouth long enough, take some Gingsing for my horrible memory, stop this A.D.D. thing I have going on, and of course prayer. Lots of prayer. lol
Lately, I have been so consumed with "life" that I have not had my daily devotional time and you know, I can really tell a big difference in my day. So this week and next week (since it is already Wednesday) I have decided to get back to the basics....... God first, others second, and then Kimmie.
If you have slacked off on your devotional time or have never had devotional time. Then I hope you will join me this week and get back to the basics.
God first, others second, and then yourself.
Here are some links that will help get you started.......
