In Total Awe......

This past week I worked on being more in awe with God. It just amazes me the complexity of everything he has created and how it all works together. This week I went for my annual physical and while I was getting an Echo Cardiogram I laid there starring at the ultrasound machine. I was completely in awe of how miraculous the human heart really is. It is constantly working, pumping blood through out our entire body to keep us alive. The average heart beats 72 times per minute and last for an average of 85 to 90 years! That is more than one beat per second. Can you think of anything else in this world that works that long or that hard?? It is things such as the heart and this beautiful world that are easily forgotten about on a daily basis. I really want you guys to watch this video. I really think that Chris Tomlin sums up our week with his song Indescribable.

For this upcoming week, I have decided to focus on leading by example. It is very important for us as Christians to live every moment of everyday as Christians. Do you drive around with a fish on your car or a cross hanging from your neck? Are you living your religion out loud? Ask yourself are your actions setting a good example for non believers? What kind of example do we set when (as I say) we lose our Christianity.....when someone cuts us off while driving, while waiting in line to check out, or the one I have most of a problem with is sitting in traffic.

Have you ever gotten upset that you had to sit and wait in traffic only find out that it was because of a really bad wreck? I am sure all of us have experienced that once in our life and man does that make you feel small. So next time we have to sit and wait in traffic, lets try to remember that there could be a team of rescue workers are trying to pull a mother and child out of a mangled ball of metal. While we are sitting and complaining in our nice comfy car listening to our kids sing and laugh. Instead of getting upset that we have to wait for a few minutes lets take that time to pray for those in the accident. When an elderly lady is holding up the line at the bank, or a mother of four is holding up the line at the grocery store because she is using every coupon she could find just so she can feed her kids for the week. We need to breathe and take a minute to remember that we are Christians and we need to be Christians of every minute of every day not just for those few hours a week while we are at church. ; )

I pray all of you have a great week and that we will all remember to lead by example! No matter what life throws at us!

Hugs & Prayers,

Kimberly
