Gatlinburg Getaway

Paul's mom and step dad were on their way back home to Florida from RVing in Kentucky so they stopped in for a few days. While they were here they offered to watch Hannah so we could have some time to ourselves. So Paul and I packed up and took off to Gatlinburg for a weekend getaway. We had a great time. Since our first day there was cold and rainy we decided to visit Wonderworks. If you have never been it is a must do. We got to experience all kinds of neat things. We got to see what it was like to be in an earthquake, fly a fighter plane, be in a haunted house, 3-D movie, be in a space-shuttle, and lay on a bed of nails. Which was actually pretty comfy. We also took a non guided horse back tour up a huge mountain. I wanted to take the tour just so I could get some cool pics of the scenery but go figure my camera was on manual setting the entire time so I didn't get many good pics. I was so disappointed because the scenery was absolutely gorgeous! Then of course you know I had to hit the outlet malls! Here are some pics of our trip.

Our cabin "A Heavenly Escape".

The Apple Barn Restaurant is my favorite place to eat in Pigeon Forge. I always look forward to going there when ever we are up that way. I must recommend the turkey and dressing. It was unbelievable! Oh and don't forget the apple fritters and apple butter. Yummoooo.

Our horseback riding experience.

The owners had posted scripture throughout the trails which I thought was awesome! This particular scripture " Look at what the Lord have done" was just perfect because right as you top the hill there was an unbelievable view. Which of course I did not get a picture of. ; (

Here is one pic of what our "trail" was like. Yes, they apparently called this a trail.

Paul, will be a coming down the mountain when he comes....
( his horse was super slow)

and were done!!!!

More random pics.......

Your guess is as good as mine. lol

Thank you so much to Nana and Grandpa for taking care of Hannah so we could have a wonderful weekend getaway!
