What an amazing first day!!!!

You guys are not going to believe what happened yesterday!! Ok, so the task yesterday was to be a blessing not a burden. So after blogging I ask God who can I bless today. I knew that Hannah and I were staying home all day so I really could not figure out how I could possibly bless someone. As the day progressed, I heard nothing and had no ideas on who to bless or how to bless them. So Hannah and I continued with our daily routine. I did not sleep well the night before so I was extremely tired. For those of you who know me, know that momma needs her sleep. lol So I decided to try to get some sleep while Hannah napped. Paul & I recently purchased a new memory foam mattress because of my back & hip problems. Which is wonderful by the way if you suffer from back pain!!! Anyway, so as I lay all snuggled up in my warm bed on my new mattress I hear God tell me go put your old mattress on Craigslist and list it for free. I was like really?. I just feel asleep and you want me to get up after not sleeping all night, go take a picture of an old mattress and put it on Craigslist?? Do what?? My first thought was who in the world is going to want an old mattress. I mean this thing has to be over 10 years old. So I reluctantly, I got out of my nice warm bed and headed to the computer. I take a few quick pics and had the listing up in less than 5 minutes. As I am writing the ad it occurred to me hey, maybe this is how God wants to me to bless someone today. Still not 100% sure that I would even get an response to a free used mattress ad I tried to go back to sleep. Well, of course that didn't happen because I was too excited. After laying there for a few minutes God told me to check my e-mail and this is what I found.........

Dear Kimberly,

I am e-mailing you on your mattress. You may have already given it away, but if not, I would love to have it for my 10 yr old son. My name is Kimberly also, I go by Kim. I have always been on the giving end but here lately I have been the one in need of the receiving and that in it’s self has been hard enough to admit. We haven’t been able to purchase one for him. We have placed a full size mattress inside the bed framing on the floor for him to sleep on until we can get one. He is has been really understanding and sweet with the whole situation. My cousin gave us the bed in Nov. when she started upgrading her furniture and we gave it to him for his x-mas present. He has just been excited to get the bed itself. If you still have the mattress I would defiantly be interested. You can reach me at xxx-xxxx. Thank you for your time.

Kim

Of course after reading the e-mail I call her to let her know that the mattress was still available and that I would love for her to have it. She was almost in tears explaining how her aunt was on craigslist at the time I posted the mattress and immediately called her at work. She told her aunt that it was probably already gone and her aunt told her if it is meant to be, it is meant to be. I told her that God wanted me to bless her today and proceeded to tell her how God made me get out of bed at that exact moment and post it on craigslist and about my blog and my new year's resolution. She was speechless.

Although, it was a just a used mattress to me, to her it was a soft place for her son to lay his head. Oh what we take for granted. All of us should wake up EVERY morning and thank God for EVERYTHING we have. Even that jobs we hate going to, our home we think is too small, our car that we would love to run off a cliff. Just be thankful you have these things because there are others out there that would love to have your job, would think that your house was a mansion, and are able to still smell the new car scent on your car you hate so much. So today, stop and think about all that you have and how you can take that and bless somebody else.

I hope this story blesses you as much as it has me. I can't wait to see what is in store for today!

Hugs & Prayers

He surely does listen and also if you are faithful , the angles are always on our shoulder and whisphers things to us. We have to be spriritually right to be able to hear when the spirit talks to us,..its amazing
