Christmas Day

I am finally posting our Christmas! I know all of you were wondering what in the world was going on. Well I had some really cute video of Hannah and I kept forgetting to ask Paul to cut it for me. Unfortunately, I waited too long because yesterday afternoon his computer died. (the funeral services will be Saturday if any of you would like to say goodbye) Praise God the hard drive is still good and we still have all of our information. I promise that once Paul has time to work his magic and rebuild his computer I will post it. It is too funny not to post!

So with no further delay, here is our Christmas Story........................

Christmas morning was finally here. We were so excited to see how Hannah would react to the toys Santa left for her. Since we had to be at mom and dad's house at 8:30, we had to wake her up early. So as she wiped the sleep away from her eyes and stumbled into the living room, much to her surprise it was full of toys! She was so excited she didn't know which direction to run. I just knew she would go straight for Elmo. Nope what does she do, she goes straight for her new books!

It was love at first sight her new doll that Santa got for her. (I wish I would have had one just like it when I was growing up) It came with a stroller, pack n play, and high chair. All the pieces have sensors so the doll knows her location and will respond accordingly. Now how high tech is Santa these days!

After playing with all the new toys it off to Grandmama and Papa's house we go! As we walk through the door, we were met by a wonderful aroma of country ham. Yummm Yummm
Every year my mom always puts together a breakfast that is as along as her kitchen counter. With all of the wonderful aromas in the air we were all ready to stuff our faces, but decided that it would be cruel to make the girls wait to open their presents. So Abby dove right in. She got one toy after another. From a Wii to a PSP! It was a good thing daddy had a truck to carry home all of her loot!

I guess I have to give Grandmama and Papa the best present award this year! Once Hannah opened her tricycle, she wouldn't open anymore presents. She was done! All she wanted to do the rest of the day is ride her tricycle and honk the very loud horn!

So after we cleaned up the miles of wrapping paper, we sat down to a delicious breakfast. We had country ham, biscuits, red eye gravy, eggs, grits, sausage quiche, muffins, fried apples, sausage balls, and much much more. Funny and I wonder where all the holiday pounds come from! Not only did mom fill our bellies once but twice. She also had turkey and dressing for dinner!
As you can see Hannah enjoyed mommies mac & cheese!

Daddy getting Hannah all cleaned up after dinner.
Don't you just love that football hold.
I don't know why but it just cracks me up every time. : )

So needless to say we had a wonderful Christmas.
We are so blessed to be able to spend the holidays with our family. Now if we just wish we could get all of Paul's family to leave sunny Florida and move to frigid Tennessee that would really be a blessing!
