Waterscape Resort - Ft. Walton Beach, Florida

This year we decided to try out The WaterScape Resort in Ft Walton Beach. I was looking for an "all-inclusive" type resort with out having to leave the country and this is about as close as you can get! If you have children it is just perfect! They have two hot tubs in the courtyard, three resort-style pools, one with zero entry, plus a Lay-Z-River, and 10-foot waterfall. Multiple pool decks, a kids’ pool, and a children’s play area with splash pad! If you want to stay in and not eat out one night they also have barbecue areas with gas grills are scattered throughout the courtyard. If you are not a pool person and love the beach, they have the hook up for you too! The sandy white beaches and ice blue water make you feel like you are in the Caribbeans. (almost) Not to mention the all inclusive beach service was very nice. No lugging chairs and umbrellas! Then to top it all off they have vending machines scattered through out the resort with free dvd rentals! I don't think Paul and I have ever watched so many movies in one week! It was great to have something to do while Hannah was napping. I could go on and on.....but I will let you try it out for yourself. It was wonderful!

View of the pier from the resort.

The adult pool outside our condo.

The big kid's pool with lilly pad rope walk.

Toddler pool and splash pad. The boat slide was so neat. It was just perfect for Hannah.

Hannah and I floating down the lazy river. I think this was my favorite pool!

Hannah taking control of the remote.

While we were walking the pier we saw a dolphin and someone catch a Ramora. Ramora's are fish that are known to stick to sharks. So needless to say for the remainder of the trip I had a sharp eye out.

Ramora

I would have gave anything to have had a zoom lens that day. The Dolphin was so close!

Guess I should have kept a better eye out. The shark got me after all.

We decided to take Hannah bowling for the first time while in Ft Walton. She had a blast and actually did very well.

She posed!!! She posed!!!

Hannah showing us the way to the pool. She was my little fish the entire trip!

Hannah made a little friend from Chattanooga while we were there. They were born one day apart. Too neat!

Hannah and daddy playing in the shaded play area.

While we were there we also took Hannah to the Gulfarium. She enjoyed watching Sammie the Seal and the dolphins.

Sammie doing his tricks.

After the show we stopped in at McGuire's Irish Pub. Really neat place. If you go to Ft. Walton you must stop by and don't forget a dollar bill.

While we were at the beach, you know I was itching to try out my new camera. So we all get gussied up and head for the beach. I set up my new tripod and grab my remote. (that Paul gave me for our anniversary) We are all posed and ready to go. Did I mention that it was humid and very hot! So anyway, I press the button and nothing happens. Why I am surprised I will never know because this was the first time I had used it and I am not one to read directions. After figuring out what I did wrong we try again. Finally thinking I had some great pics I run over to the camera with great anticipation only to find out that my stupid lens is fogged up! My great pics were are all cloudy! There is nothing like getting all dressed up, sitting in the sand on a hot humid morning taking pics that don't turn out! So in much frustration we pack it up and decide to try again. The next morning we head back out. This time realizing that I had to set my camera outside a good 2 hours before shooting. The trials and errors of beginning photography. Here are some of the shots......

Gotta love a hubby that will not only do it once but twice!

I love this pic that Paul took! He has a great eye.
