The girls and I packed up and took off to Tybee Island for a much needed kid free weekend! Poor Amy drove all night so we could be there first thing Friday morning. Since we could not check into the condo until 3:00. We decided to go eat at Paul Dean's and walk around Savannah. Paula's was good but not as good as I expected. I was really NOT crazy about the whole round us up like cattle show. Although, I must say I could have made a meal off of her hoecakes and cheddar biscuits. Yummmo. We stayed at The Vue/Beachside Colony. It was so nice to be able to step out on our balcony and see the waves roll in. Tybee island and resort were wonderful! It was not crowded, the food was unbelievable, and thanks to Hurricane Bill the ocean was like bath water. Ok now to the good part, the pics from the trip......

Our first stop. Paul Dean's

Waiting in line to get a table at Paula Dean's after riding for 8 hours.

The herding us in like cattle. Ridiculous!

Amy and I burning up after a tour of Savannah. It had to be over 100 degrees on the trolley!
Amy, Amy, and I walking downtown Savannah. It was so beautiful.

Finally, we made it to our resort! Our room overlooking the pools and ocean. Ahhhh Paradise....

Cassie and I off to eat at Marlin Monroe's.

Eating at Marlin Monroe's on the resort. Very good grouper sandwich and chocolate lava cake.

Girl's night out!!

The Crab Shack
"Where the Elite Eat in their Bare-feet. "

Seafood boil at The Crab Shack. Delicious!
What a great weekend getaway! I am so blessed to have such good friends. It means the world to me to be able to get away from the daily grind with friends that you can be yourself around, that love you for who you are, that accept your flaws, and appreciate your strengths. When you find friends such as these, hold on tight because from my experience they are few and far between.
